Bio
Darren Ford was born in Vineland, New Jersey, and was a standout multi-sport athlete, playing football and baseball and competing in track and field at Vineland High School.
Darren played one season of college baseball at Chipola College before being drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 18th round of the 2004 MLB Draft. He began his professional career in Helena, Montana, with the Helena Brewers in 2005. He was traded to the San Francisco Giants during the 2008 season and made his MLB debut in September 2010 for the eventual World Series champion Giants.
Darren retired from professional baseball following the 2019 season after spending time in the Mariners and Pirates organizations, as well as in the Atlantic League with the Somerset Patriots and New Britain Bees.
In 2024, Darren managed the Tupper Lake RiverPigs of the Empire Professional Baseball League and was hired by the Voyagers in February.
