Voyagers Ice Glacier to Win Series
The Great Falls Voyagers (17-10) faced off Thursday against the Glacier Range Riders (11-15) in the rubber match of a three game series in Flathead Valley. The Voyagers were coming off of losing their first two series of the season, and looked to get back on track with a series win over the Range Riders. With the series tied at one a piece, the Voyagers did just that as they beat the Range Riders 7-5.
Pablo Arevalo (3-0) started his fifth game of the season for Great Falls and earned his fourth win of the season after a stellar performance. Arevalo went seven innings, giving up six hits and three earned runs. He struck out three batters, and only issued one walk on the night. Arevalo's season totals now sit at a 4-0 record over 32.2 innings pitched with a 5.23 ERA, and 15 strikeouts.
Great Falls continues to hit the ball, scoring seven runs while accumilating twelve hits. Four Voyagers had a multi-hit game. Nick Emanuel led the way with three hits over five at bats and drove in one run. Eddie McCabe had himself a series, batting over .300 and driving in six runs including his grand slam in game two. In game three he had two hits and drove in two runs to help put the Voyagers up early against the Range Riders. The Voyagers put the game away in the ninth as they scored two runs to make the score 7-3. Montana Quigley came in and put the game away in the ninth as the Voyagers secured the 7-5 victory.
