Voyagers Lose Game 6 Against Paddleheads
Voyagers take their first away series against Missoula 4-2.
Despite losing the last game of the series, the Voyagers came away with a series win, going 4-2 at Missoula. This brings the Voyagers to 6-3 against rival Missoula on the season. Quincy Jones took the mound for the Voyagers, pitching 4.2 innings, giving up 6 runs (only 3 earned), and striking out 4 in the loss. Matt Thomas, Carter Linton, and Andy Atwood closed out the game pitching giving up teo more runs and striking out five more Missoula hitters over 3.1 innings.
The Missoula pitchers quited down the Voyagers offense in Game Six giving up a series low in hits with 6. The Paddleheads held the Voyagers to 4 runs and struck out 11 batters. The Missoula hitters came to play collecting 12 base hits and scoring 8 runs to win game six 8-4.
After two weeks of the 2022 Pioneer League Season, the Voyagers stand atop the North Division at 9-3. A much better start than the 0-9 team of last year.
